2026 Summer Camps
Some of the most memorable times in childhood come from summer camp. Oaks Family Ministries desires to not only give young people and families lasting memories, but also connect them with their Heavenly Father and His wonderful creation.
2026 will be our 3rd year hosting a summer day camp called "Basecamp," and we are excited to add two new camps; a father-son, and a father-daughter camp. All of these offerings also showcase the amazing natural resources we have available in our area at Morrow Mountain State Park and the Uwharrie National Forest.
We are also launching a program called "Summer Fellowship For Boys" which takes place on Tuesday and Thursday mornings over the course of three weeks in the summer. While it is not "school" per se it is more academic in nature, but academics in the outdoors! This is a blend of the hands, the head, and the heart.

SFFB takes place over the course of three weeks in the summer, meeting on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (hopefully before it gets too hot!). Unless the weather prohibits us we will meet out of doors. Our mornings will begin with an old system of physical exercise called “Swedish Drill” which is focused on flexibility and mobility. From there we will move into our series of lessons that aim to strike a balance between the hands, the head, and the heart.
Each session (3 weeks) we will focus on one great book (selected from Ambleside Online’s list), one biography, one common art, and one handicraft. We will also do math games (to keep students sharp over the summer), and Bible study.
While the target age range is rising 5th graders through rising 9th graders we also welcome parents of the boys to stay throughout the morning so be a part of what their sons are learning.
If time requires we may ask the boys to complete some reading at home between our meetings, but there will not be any formal homework…it is summer after all. Included in tuition for this fellowship is all the necessary books and a journal to be used for nature study.
Space is limited to 10-12 participants each session.
